Cricket Wireless has changed its plan names so they’re easier to understand. To be more specific Cricket has changed the names of its two available Unlimited plans, because the carrier felt that it would be easier for subscribers and potential subscribers to tell the difference between the two as they were similar enough in description before that some customers may have been confused as to which plan offered what. Now known simply as the Cricket Unlimited plan and the Cricket Unlimited Max plan, both are offered with the same exact features and price point according to Cricket, so there is nothing new here but the names.
As a refresher or for anyone who has considered switching to Cricket, the Unlimited plan is $55 a month though consumers can save an additional $5 a month by setting up auto pay, and it comes with unlimited voice and unlimited messaging across the U.S. and this includes picture messages, and it even includes unlimited calling and messaging to Canada and Mexico as well as roaming in both of those countries, but it does require that half of the usage for voice or messaging be to other U.S. numbers within the U.S. For data customers get unlimited use, but only up to 3Mbps speeds and video streaming is limited to SD quality.
With the Unlimited Max plan everything is the same except for the data and the cost. The monthly price bumps up to $60 a month, though it also offers the ability to save $5 a month with setting up auto pay. There is no limit on video streaming quality, and data speeds are up to 4G LTE so if you’re someone who uses a lot of streaming media, plays a lot of mobile games, or just prefer internet that is as fast as possible then this is the plan you would want to go with.
