Denon Integrates Alexa Support With New AV Receivers

Denon has integrated Alexa support with new AV receivers making it even easier to control the audio in your home whether it’s for music, TV, or movies. There are a range of new receivers that the company has just launched, six in total, and all of them have Alexa Voice Control support so you can adjust the volume and other audio settings all without having to lift a finger, that is assuming you have an Alexa-powered device in the home along with the receiver. In addition to coming with Alexa support each receiver is also quite a bit less expensive than some of the other options on Denon’s website, so if you’re looking for something that won’t break the bank these might fit your needs.

The cheapest one will start at $279 which might still be a little more than some will want to spend but if you’re in the market for an AV receiver than chances are you’d expect to pay more. Being able to control certain functions on these receivers with Amazon’s smart digital assistant is sure to be the highlight functionality for some users, but it’s not the only noteworthy detail about them. Each new receiver also comes with Dolby Atmos technology so you should expect some high-quality sound output.

In addition to the $279 model, there will also be models set at $379, $479, and $579, and all of these will be part of the S-Series and are already available to purchase. The remaining two of the new six receivers will be part of the X-Series and won’t be available until May but once they launch consumers can pick them up for $599 and $799. All the receivers will support DTS:X, Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG, as well as various streaming services like TuneIn Radio, Pandora, Spotify, Tidal, and more. Though controlling everything by voice should make things easier before you can use the Alexa Voice Controls you will need to have already downloaded the HEOS Home Entertainment skill though you won’t need more than that.
