Galaxy Zero Concept Handset Is Almost Completely Bezel-Less

A YouTube channel called ‘Science and Knowledge’ has just released a new video which shows off a concept smartphone, this time around, it’s the Samsung Galaxy Zero. Needless to say, this is an imaginary smartphone, not a leak or anything of the sort. The device has been designed by a designer named Dusan Djokic, according to the YouTube video, and the phone is almost completely bezel-less, and it offers a really interesting design overall.

As you can see the phone’s front-facing camera is included in the display itself, and it’s quite visible, while the phone’s earpiece is also visible on the top of the device in form of a micro notch, but other than that, there are no bezels here. The phone’s frame is made out of metal, and the display itself sports rounded corners. A dual camera setup is placed on the back of the phone, and those two cameras are horizontally-aligned, while an LED flash sits in-between them. A SIM card tray is accessible from the right-hand side of this smartphone, while all the other buttons are located on the left. Speaking of which, the phone’s physical keys are placed in the upper portion of the phone’s left-hand side, and it seems like we’re getting a power key here, and some sort of a slider button below it, volume up and volume down buttons are nowhere to be found, and that power key seems to be on the wrong side and really high up for some reason. The phone’s loudspeaker sits in the lower-left corner of the phone, you will notice speaker holes in the frame of this device, which is quite interesting, and something we haven’t seen thus far. A Type-C USB port is located on the bottom of the device, and along with the phone itself, a pair of wireless earphones are shown in the video as well.

Now, the designer also envisioned some specifications for this smartphone. In the YouTube video, it is mentioned that this imaginary smartphone sports the Gorilla Glass 6 protection on both the front and back, and the Gorilla Glass 6 is not available just yet, as most of you know, as it was not announced yet. The phone is IP68-certified for water and dust resistance, while it sports a 6-inch QHD+ (2960 x 1440) Super AMOLED display. That display is HDR10-compliant, and the phone also comes with a similar home key as the Galaxy S8 / S9. Android 8.1.2 Oreo comes pre-installed on the phone, while the device is fueled by the Snapdragon 855 processor which was also not announced yet, nor do we know if it will ever become a reality. The phone comes in 6GB and 8GB RAM variants with 128GB and 256GB of storage, respectively. 23-megapixel dual cameras are located on the back of the phone, and we’re looking at f/1.6 lenses here with OIS and PDAF. A 20-megapixel front-facing snapper with a f/1.7 aperture lens is also mentioned, and so is an in-display fingerprint scanner. A 4,500mAh battery is included here as well, and the device also features Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging.
