Google Tasks now has its own app for mobile as Google just launched the application on Android and iOS, which means users should have no trouble finding the app in the Play Store and App Store. Google Tasks as a standalone app is not really any different from the desktop version on the web save for the actual interface that users will see when they interact with it, which means those who want to be able to continue using Tasks on the go if they’re already users of the service will get most of if not all of the same features even when they’re not at home.
For instance, Google Tasks already aggregates your tasks from Gmail and Calendar on the web, and now you’ll be able to see those tasks in the mobile app so you can stay on top of anything you had planned to get done, this ensuring that it actually gets done. Google is also rolling the Tasks app and the web interface into the G Suite set of tools which means both average users and business users will have easier access and better integration with the service and its features.
Speaking of features, the app lists a rather large collection of them at your fingertips so you aren’t losing out on the power of the original desktop version, like the ability to break your tasks down into subtasks so you can feel more organized with your to-dos. There’s even an option to trace a task back to the email it’s related to if that task was created in Gmail to begin with, just in case you forget some other useful information that goes along with the task that you might need, such as whether anyone else is involved with the task.
