Incipio DualPro Case For Samsung Galaxy S9 Review

Another part of Incipio’s Galaxy S9 case lineup this year is the tried and true, DualPro dual-layer case. This is a case that has been a part of Incipio’s portfolio for quite some time, and is a very popular one. There’s good reason for that too. It’s a good looking case, that has a soft-touch finish, but it also has impact resistance. This is going to keep your phone safe when it takes a tumble out of your hands.

The DualPro is available in six colors, including black, iridescent light blue, iridescent lilac, iridescent red/black, iridescent rose quartz/gray, and iridescent rusted gold. The color that Incipio sent over for us to check out is the black one. While it may be plain compared to the other colors that Incipio is selling this year for the Galaxy S9, it’s still a great color and will work well with any of the Galaxy S9 colors. And it looks great on our Lilac Purple color here.

Remember, this is a dual-layer case, so here you get a soft TPU-like case that goes against the phone, to keep it safe and keep it from getting scratched while it’s in the case. Then there is a hard outer-shell that has a soft-touch feel. This outer shell is able to withstand impact, so it can be dropped and keep the phone safe. That is actually the selling point of the DualPro, which is pretty good, especially for those that want a case that can keep their Galaxy S9 safe without making it ugly. As the DualPro looks really nice on the Galaxy S9, as expected.

The cutouts on the DualPro are pretty precise, which keeps it clean, but also protects the Galaxy S9. On the back, there’s one cut out for the camera and fingerprint module. Like with its Octane case, the edges around that cut out are chamfered a bit, giving it a nice look but also making it easier for you to use the fingerprint sensor and heart rate monitor (also known as the flash). There’s no issues using the fingerprint sensor with this case, of course it also helps that it is now below the camera instead of beside it like on the Galaxy S8. On the bottom, there are four holes. One for the speaker, another for the USB-C port, one for the headphone jack and then a very small one for the microphone. There is also one at the top for the other microphone. The buttons on the sides do not have cut outs, and that’s because of how thick the case is, it would make it tough to use them. So Incipio decided to make them rigid, so they are still very easy to press. And the best part is that there will be no more accidental Bixby presses.

The Incipio DualPro case is priced at $29.99, which is more expensive than some other cases out there, but still pretty good for the quality you’re getting here. You can pick up the DualPro from either Amazon or Incipio. This time around, both stores have it at $29.99. You can use either link below to purchase yours.
