Leak: OnePlus 6 Appears in Case Render

The OnePlus 6 has now appeared in a case render on Mobile Fun’s website. It shows basically everything that the leaks have been pointing to over the past few weeks, including the notch at the top, as well as the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and vertical dual-camera module. The render that Mobile Fun has used here is in black, and it appears that the OnePlus 6 would be sporting a glass back, similar to the OPPO R15 that was announced last month. Though that shouldn’t be a surprise since the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T also sported OPPO designs.

It’s important to note that these renders that Mobile Fun have posted, may not be the final render of the OnePlus 6. These could be created from the dimensions that OnePlus have given case makers to create cases for the device, as well as the leaks that have already surfaced for the OnePlus 6. So it’s important to take this with a grain of salt. But typically these are pretty close to the final design of the device. These cases that Mobile Fun has posted are actually from Olixar, a company who typically releases cases for new smartphones ahead of their release. These range from $7.49 all the way up to $35.49, and are available for pre-order right now.

OnePlus 6 has had some of its details slowly confirmed by the company. To no surprise, it’s going to sport Qualcomm’s latest silicon, the Snapdragon 845. OnePlus always uses the latest and greatest from Qualcomm, in all of its previous smartphones, so the Snapdragon 845 being inside here is no surprise at all. It should also sport up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. That means that there will likely be a cheaper 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage model, similar to what OnePlus did last year with the OnePlus 5. We also know it’s sporting a 6.28-inch AMOLED display with a 2280×1080 resolution display, that’s a 19:9 aspect ratio, which is the same as the OPPO R15. This is because OnePlus does have a notch here, but the company says that you’ll be able to “hide” it like Huawei has done on the P20. OnePlus has not confirmed when the new smartphone will be announced, but given the fact that leaks are ramping up pretty quickly, it’ll likely be in the next couple of weeks.
