Meizu 15 Surfaces On Geekbench With SD660 SoC, 3GB RAM

The Meizu 15 has just surfaced on Geekbench, and according to the site, the device will be fueled by the Snapdragon 660 64-bit octa-core SoC by Qualcomm. To make things clear, this is the regular Meizu 15 variant, not the Meizu 15 Lite or 15 Plus, as Meizu is expected to announce all three devices on April 22 in China. That press event had been scheduled already, and the Meizu 15 Plus is expected to become the company’s all-new flagship handset, speaking of which, the device actually surfaced on AnTuTu quite recently, confirming that it will sport Samsung’s Exynos 8895 64-bit octa-core processor.

That being said, Meizu 15’s Geekbench listing also confirms that the phone will sport 4GB of RAM and will ship with Android 7.1.1 Nougat, though Meizu’s Flyme UI will be included on top of it, which is not mentioned on Geekbench. In fact, Meizu’s all-new Flyme 7 is expected to come pre-installed on the device, as the company will announce Flyme 7 on the same day as the Meizu 15 devices. The Meizu 15 managed to score 1,624 points in the single-core benchmark on Geekbench, while it was able to hit 5,850 points in the multi-core benchmark. Having said that, if leaks and the phone’s TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC) are to be believed, the Meizu 15 will be made out of metal, and it will actually resemble some iPhone handsets a bit. The phone will ship with a front-facing fingerprint scanner which will sit below the phone’s display, and its front-facing camera will be centered above the display. The Meizu 15 will have noticeable bezels above and below the display, thicker than expected, and the same can be said for its siblings as well.

If TENAA is to be believed, the phone will feature a 5.46-inch fullHD AMOLED display, and in addition to the 4GB RAM variant that was listed on Geekbench, a 6GB RAM model will also be available. Those two variants of the device will ship with 64GB and 128GB of native storage, and we’re guessing that the phone will offer microSD card expansion. A 20-megapixel front-facing camera will be included on the phone, while 12 and 20-megapixel cameras will sit on the back side of the device. A 2,940mAh non-removable battery will also be a part of the package, and the device will ship in several color options.
