Nubia had introduced its Red Magic gaming smartphone earlier this month, while the device is now listed on Indiegogo. Nubia announced that the phone will be crowdfunded, and that it will pop up on Indiegogo on April 26, which is exactly what happened. The phone can be yours for $399 (+shipping) at the moment, which is its price for early adopters, in other words, people who are willing to back the project. Nubia has set a goal of $50,000 in order to make the device a reality, and the company has already managed to gather approximately $31,000, at the time of writing this article. There’s one month left for people to back this project, and considering that the company managed to receive way over 50-percent of the necessary budget, chances are that this phone will become a reality.
It is worth noting that this phone has been released by Red Magic, technically, Nubia’s sub-brand, even though the device carries Nubia’s branding as well. Now, Indiegogo page shares a ton of info when it comes to the Nubia Red Magic gaming handset, but considering that the company introduced this phone earlier, we basically knew exactly what to expect. The phone has a specialized cooling system, while you will also notice a rather unique light strip on its back. The X-shaped antenna design is also rather interesting, while the phone is fueled by the Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core processor, not the Snapdragon 845 that most people expected. The device is made out of metal, for the most part, and it sports a rear-facing fingerprint scanner. The device packs in 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, while a 6GB RAM variant is also available, but not globally, only in China.
The Nubia Red Magic gaming handset sports a 5.99-inch fullHD+ display, and a 3,800mAh battery, which is not removable. Quick Charge 3.0 is also included in the package, while you will find a 24-megapixel camera on the back of the device. An 8-megapixel camera is included on the phone’s front side, while Android 8.1 Oreo comes pre-installed on the device. This phone also includes two SIM card slots, and if you’d like to know more, click here.
