Evan Blass, and our own source confirmed that the upcoming LG-branded flagship will be called the LG G7 ThinQ, that confirmation came a couple of days ago, and two real-life images of the device have just surfaced as well. If you take a look at the first image provided down below, you will be able to see the alleged LG G7 ThinQ, even the branding on the phone’s display says so, as it seems like the phone is in the middle of booting up in the provided image. This is yet another confirmation that it will be called the LG G7 ThinQ.
That being said, the phone’s design is hidden by a heavy-duty case, well, most of its design, at the very least. We are, however, able to see that the display notch is included on the phone, as expected, though that notch doesn’t seem to be that big, it’s considerably smaller than the notch on the iPhone X, for example, but it seems to be wider than the one included on the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro. This case confirms that the power / lock key will be placed on the right-hand side of the LG G7 ThinQ, while the volume up and volume down keys will be included on the left. There’s another cutout included below the phone’s volume buttons, though we cannot see what is it there for. It is possible that the SIM card tray is located there, though cases usually do not leave cutouts for SIM card trays, so… it another physical key, perhaps? Will the LG G7 ThinQ sport a physical key for its own Bixby-like assistant maybe, as the Galaxy S9 (Plus) does? Well, who knows, we’re only guessing here, that cutout could be there for anything really, we’ll just have to wait until the phone gets announced.
Now, the second image in the gallery actually shows the phone’s hardware info, which is located in its settings. This image is a bit blurry on purpose, but it does give us a rather good look at the phone’s display notch. The LG G7 ThinQ will, according to the source, ship with the Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core SoC, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage. It is possible that this is just one variant of the device, as LG is expected to introduce a 6GB RAM model as well, which is expected to sport 128GB of storage so that may be a ‘Plus’ model of the LG G7 ThinQ. The phone is expected to become available in May, so LG may announce it before the end of this month.
