OUKITEL has just released a new promo video for the big battery (5,200mAh) OUKITEL WP5000 smartphone, and this video is battery-oriented. This is essentially a battery consumption test, like many other OUKITEL had released over the last couple of years. Having said that, the company is not comparing the OUKITEL WP5000 with any other device in this video, but instead, it’s testing the phone’s battery in a number of ways to show you how long it can last under certain conditions.
The first test OUKITEL conducted is a regular call test, with 3G connection turned on. The display’s brightness was set to 100-percent during this test, and the call lasted 30 minutes. During the call, the display was powered on the whole time, and in 30 minutes, the OUKITEL WP5000 still had 100-percent of battery left. For the second test, OUKITEL decided to play music on the phone for 30 minutes, while keeping the display on, and after 30 minutes of playing music which was stored locally on the device, the OUKITEL WP5000’s battery dropped to 97-percent. In addition to that, the company noted that the phone can play music for 16 hours and 40 minutes with the display powered on, and set to the highest brightness setting. OUKITEL also conducted a video playing test on the device, and after 30 minutes of video playing, the phone’s battery dropped from 97-percent to 91-percent. It is worth noting that the video file was stored on the phone, not streamed.
Having the flashlight powered on for 30 minutes resulted in a battery percentage drop from 91-percent to 85-percent. The company also noted that the OUKITEL WP5000 is capable of keeping the flashlight on for 8 hours and 40 minutes, while the display is powered on, and brightness set to max, though most of you always turn off the display when using the flashlight, and that will add plenty of additional time to the count, of course. OUKITEL actually performed some additional battery tests in the video which is embedded down below, so if you’re interested, feel free to check it out. The OUKITEL WP5000 will become available for pre-order starting on April 17, so keep that in mind if you’re looking to buy the device. It is also worth noting that the OUKITEL WP5000 is a rugged smartphone, which sports a 5.7-inch display, is fueled by the Helio P25 64-bit octa-core processor, and includes 6GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage.
