San Bruno Police Has Identified YouTube HQ Shooter

The San Bruno Police Department has identified a shooter that has been involved in the shooting incident over at YouTube HQ. The shooter’s name is Nasim Aghdam, and this is a 39-year-old woman. As you probably already know, from previous reports, Nasim Aghdam shot and injured three people at YouTube Headquarters before she decided to end her life. This woman had lived in San Diego, and according to the source, she actually had a number of YouTube accounts.

According to the source, Nasim Aghdam talked about YouTube issues on her YouTube accounts, she commented on YouTube monetization issues, and the company’s policy in general. CNET also notes that she was not in contact with anyone at YouTube Headquarters, or anything of the sort. The San Bruno Police Department said that they do not have any evidence that she targeted anyone in particular over at YouTube Headquarters, though that is not final info, the police will conduct an investigation regarding the matter. Three people that got shot by Nasim Aghdam, a 32-year-old woman, a 27-year-old woman, and a 36-year-old man were quickly transported to the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. Google, as a company, still did not comment on the matter, the company did point towards Sundar Pichai’s statement, though, but additional statements will almost certainly be made in the near future, as soon as things settle down a bit and more info surfaces.

Having said that, Google’s CEO, Sundar Pichai, did confirm, earlier, that the shooting took place, while he emphasized that the safety of everyone over at YouTube Headquarters (home to about 1,100 employees, not all of which were present at the time of the shooting, of course) is the company’s first priority. He also confirmed, before anyone else, that four people were injured in the whole incident, seemingly including the shooter itself. Mr. Pichai also said that the company will continue providing support to those affected by the shooting. That is pretty much all the info that is available at the time, but chances are that more info will surface in the coming days, so stay tuned.
