LG’s G7 is due to be announced sometime this month and is rumored to launch in May, and the most recent bit of detail surrounding the phone suggests that it will launch with the name LG G7 ThinQ. This will be LG’s latest flagship phone and although it certainly has its work cut out for it with the competing devices that have already been announced so far this year, LG has every opportunity to make the G7 a phone that consumers won’t soon forget, nor want to. Whether or not it’s able to live up to that remains to be seen but past LG devices have had some compelling features so the G7 could follow suit.
Naturally when it comes to specs the device is supposed to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, along with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage space, which seems to be par for the course with many flagship smartphones these days still, including Samsung’s Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus, which initially come with 64GB of storage. The phone should come running on Oreo 8.1 so there won’t be much when it comes to software features that isn’t available for the LG G7 ThinQ, and LG will no doubt add its own special touches to the user interface.
With seemingly lots to love about the upcoming flagship smartphone from LG, one has to wonder whether or not it will be able to satiate the desires of consumers looking for a new device. Even though the G7 ThinQ will no doubt have some great hardware and excellent features, it will still have to sit well with the public, and that may be hard to do with some of the other handsets that will be comparable having already stolen a bit of the spotlight. Much remains to be seen, but that shouldn’t count LG out just yet. Are you excited for the LG G7?
