Xiaomi had released six official Mi 6X renders yesterday, revealing the phone’s design prior to its launch, and the first promo video of the phone has just surfaced as well. This promo video has been uploaded to YouTube, even though it originally comes from Weibo (Chinese social network), and it shows several color options of the phone, just like images that surfaced yesterday. This video is embedded down below, and it will give you a really good idea as to what to expect from the Xiaomi Mi 6X once the phone becomes official on April 25.
The Xiaomi Mi 6X, as you can see, will be made out of metal, while it will ship with a rear-facing fingerprint scanner. The device will include a vertically-aligned dual camera setup on the back, and an LED flash will be placed in-between those two cameras. Xiaomi’s logo will sit on the back of the device, while the phone’s physical keys will be included on the right-hand side of this smartphone. You will be able to access the phone’s SIM card tray from the left, and a Type-C USB port will be included on the bottom of the device. The phone’s loudspeaker will also sit on the bottom of the Mi 6X, and it seems like an IR blaster will also be a part of the package. The phone will be available in Black, Rose Gold, Gold, Red, and Blue color variants, and it will resemble the company’s Redmi 5 Plus and Redmi Note 5 smartphones, as its bezels will be considerably thinner than the ones on the Xiaomi Mi 5X.
Most of you probably already know that Xiaomi will almost certainly rebrand this phone to the Mi A2 at some point, and re-release it with stock Android as part of Google’s Android One project, at least based on the success of the company’s Mi A1 smartphone which was released last year. The Xiaomi Mi 6X actually got certified by TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC) quite recently, and thanks to that info, we pretty much know what to expect in the spec department. The phone will ship with a 5.99-inch fullHD+ (2160 x 1080) display, along with 4GB / 6GB of RAM and 64GB / 128GB of native storage. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 64-bit octa-core processor will fuel the Xiaomi Mi 6X, and a battery with 2,910mAh capacity will also be a part of the package.
