As LG is gearing up for the release of its latest flagship, the OEM also seems to be making preparations for the second half of the year when the LG V35 ThinQ is expected to hit the shelves, and as if to offer a sneak preview of what LG’s foreseeable future might look like, an alleged spec sheet pertaining to the unannounced phone leaked online recently. The leaked spec sheet seems to corroborate the information AndroidHeadlines shared exclusively last month, and likewise, it suggests that the device should make use of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of on-board memory.
In addition, the spec sheet indicates that the LG V35 ThinQ will have a twin main camera setup comprised of two 16-megapixel sensors, as well as a front-facing 8-megapixel module. Finally, the device should boast a 6-inch display with a resolution of 2880 x 1440 and be powered by a 3,000mAh battery. The spec sheet also mentions Android 8.1 Oreo but since the LG V35 ThinQ is expected to be officially introduced later this year, there is a small possibility that LG might pre-load the smartphone with Android P which is hitting the stable channel in the third quarter, as per Google’s official roadmap.
As far as availability is concerned, smartphones from LG’s V series have always been released in the second half of a calendar year, with the exception of the latest LG V30S ThinQ which was introduced this February. But while that device was more of a refresh of the original LG V30 adopting the OEM’s ThinQ platform, in contrast, the LG V35 ThinQ is expected to become a true new entry in the series, complete with higher-grade hardware components such as a more powerful SoC. As for the smartphone’s design, the LG V35 ThinQ should follow a more conventional route and resemble its predecessors, featuring a glossy finish and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner but lacking a display notch, unlike the LG G7 ThinQ.
