B&H Photo has listed the LG V30S ThinQ as a pre-order product today, with a listing price of $929. This would mark the first time that the device has been available in the US, after being announced in Barcelona back in February. LG has not yet announced that it’ll be coming to the US officially, so there is a high possibility that this might be an imported model from South Korea – currently the only region that has the V30S ThinQ available. But B&H Photo is also saying that it is available there exclusively. However, according to B&H Photo’s website, it is a GSM and CDMA unlocked device, meaning that it’ll work on all four US carriers – AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon.
The LG V30S ThinQ is a slight iteration of the LG V30 that the company announced last fall. The V30S ThinQ brings some new colors, like the Moroccan Blue color option. It also doubles storage and adds some more RAM, on the hardware front. So there’s 128GB of internal storage and 6GB of RAM versus 64GB and 6GB respectively, for the V30. Otherwise, it is essentially the same phone with a 6.1-inch OLED display and the Snapdragon 835 chipset powering the show. The main difference here is all of the artificial intelligence features that LG has included. That is mostly in the camera, like the ability to turn on AI Cam and have it automatically adjust settings based on what you are taking a photo of. The majority of this has made its way to the V30 already, so the only real reason to buy the V30S ThinQ is if you want some extra storage and RAM.
With the V30S ThinQ being priced at $929 over on B&H Photo, that does put it just $60 more than the current price of the V30, and about the same price as the V30’s original price. That’s a pretty good deal when you think about it. Considering you are getting 128GB of storage here along with 6GB of RAM. The LG V30S ThinQ is up for pre-order and B&H Photo has not yet announced when it will actually start shipping, so keep that in mind when placing your pre-order.
