Dropbox, the popular file-sharing platform has added new features to its mobile apps. The list of new features includes the all-new activity notifications, streamlined file preview, important items and now the starred files and recent work under placed under one single tab. The biggest change that’s visible right now is a feature called ‘File activity’. This lets the user For
prominent looking sharing buttons and the Home screen shows the most important items. In the file browser, switching to the gallery view now shows large thumbnails instead of a file list too which could help some users locate things quicker. As of right now this feature is only available for iOS but it will roll out soon toIn addition to these new features Dropbox also recently added a document scanning feature that can help users scan, align, and straighten a document before sharing it. Dropbox also has an offline mode that lets you continue your work without an internet connection, and much like Google’s offline features any work that is completed offline will sync to your Dropbox once an internet connection comes back. Dropbox notes that while the File Activity feature isn’t quite available on Android yet, the streamlined file preview changes that have been made to the app should show up for Android users. That said, this does require an app update which won’t show up for all users at the same time, so it might be a while before some people are able to see these changes.
