Here is the Samsung Galaxy J4 (2018) in fresh new renders. During the past 24 hours the Galaxy J4 has already leaked in render form showing off some of the primary design features as well as two color options, black and gold. AndroidHeadlines can now confirm they will not be the only color options on offer with this year’s Galaxy J4 smartphone. In particular, these renders highlight the Galaxy J4 in blue and purple color options, which could mean they arrive branded as ‘Coral Blue’ and ‘Lilac Purple’ variants.
As the images show, the Galaxy J4 is not going to bring anything too new to the table in terms of design with what seems to be a traditional 16:9 aspect ratio in effect. As well as a physical home button in use at the bottom of the device and a single camera on the back. Aspects which seem to further confirm the Galaxy J4 is destined to be a more affordable option from the company’s 2018 J-series lineup. While the renders do not provide any new information on the likely specs, some of these details had already come through thanks to a device sporting the model number (SM-J400F) believed to be associated with the Galaxy J4 having shown up on Geekbench recently. As per that listing the Galaxy J4 will feature 2GB RAM (may also be a 3GB RAM model), come running on Android 8.0 (Oreo), and will likely be powered by the company’s Exynos 7570 SoC. Other recent rumors have looked to confirm the rest of the specs will be padded out with a 5.5-inch display, either 16 or 32GB storage, a 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 3,000 mAh battery.
More recently, the Galaxy J4 — along with the Galaxy J6 — has been seen going through the usual certification hurdles which has led to the suggestion both of these phones are very near to being officially announced. Speaking of which, the Galaxy J6 is highly expected to be officially announced on Monday, May 21, with the possibility that availability (at least in India) will commence on May 22, 2018. Therefore, it is also possible that Samsung might be planning to announce the Galaxy J4 (2018) at the same event. In either case, there are no firm suggestions at the moment the Galaxy J4 will be released in the US with indications pointing towards a limited release in select regions.
