Google Home Mini Golf Promotional Tour Coming To US Cities

Google has revealed a new promotional tour of its Google Home products in four U.S. cities, which appears to center around playing mini golf and tinkering with home automation. The two activities may seem entirely unrelated but Google is theming the game as a physical representation of the “obstacle course” home life can end up feeling like. More directly, mini golf is an obstacle course people play for fun and the Google Home product family can be used to make managing home activities less of a chore. So Google’s thinking may not be totally illogical. On that note, the company will be demoing how the Home product line works with home automation and offering a chance to win a Google Home Mini or Home Max. Every participant will also receive a free pair of golf socks and get to play through the company’s mini-golf course.

Events will be held in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Atlanta over the course of this summer. In fact, the New York event starts today so local residents or visitors to the area may want to follow the banner below to RSVP and see if any openings are still available. That event will run from May 30 through June 4. For those who may be interested in the Chicago area, meanwhile, the event will start June 14 and go through June 17. Los Angeles has dates set for June 30 through July 5 and Atlanta will be the final even destination starting July 26 and ending July 29. Event times seem to vary from city to city but take place predominantly in the afternoon and moving through the late evening. Listings can be checked at the associated Facebook Event pages – also discoverable via the banner below.

No details have been provided with regard to how many prizes Google will be handing out during the events or what their win conditions are meant to be. They may be associated with the scores visitors achieve at mini golf but are at least as likely to be part of a drawing. Whatever the case may be, Google events tend to be loaded with interactive fun, so anyone in the vicinity will probably have a memorable experience if they choose to attend one of the company’s voice-enabled mini golf tours.
