The latest leak containing what’s assumed to be the first real-life image of the LG V35 ThinQ came from the Wireless Power Consortium, industry insider Evan Blass discovered Thursday. The regulatory agency in question has already greenlit numerous variants of a smartphone series identified by the model number LM-V350, with the implication being that the commercial launch of the rumored Android flagship is now imminent. All of the newly issued certificates have been published yesterday, with some of them containing the previously spotted image that can be seen below.
Earlier this month, AndroidHeadlines obtained exclusive press renders of the LG V35 ThinQ that’s assumed to be an AT&T exclusive in the United States, having shared the images several weeks after also learning a number of details about the next high-end Android offering from LG. Judging by the currently available information, the V35 ThinQ will be an even more premium device than the newly announced G7 ThinQ, featuring the same Qualcomm-made Snapdragon 845 chip but upping the ante with an OLED panel which will lack a screen cutout. Whereas the G7 ThinQ features a small notch on top of its 6.1-inch 19:9 display, the V35 ThinQ will have a slightly thicker bezel sitting above a 6-inch P-OLED screen. The handset should sport the same 16-megapixel dual-camera setup found on the back of the G7 ThinQ, also supported by a variety of artificial intelligence capabilities. An identical wide-angle lens covering a 107-degree field of view will once again be included as well.
A quad-DAC (ESS Sabre 9228) and a 3.5mm headphone jack will also be part of the mobile package, though the dedicated Google Assistant button found on the left-hand side of the G7 ThinQ won’t be incorporated into the next LG-made Android flagship, the same information indicates. AT&T previously said it will be retailing a U.S.-exclusive LG device this summer, though its official announcement may be made by the end of spring, especially given how the majority of the South Korean tech giant’s products are announced at least a month ahead of their commercial releases. The LG V35 ThinQ is expected to be sold in at least a dozen other countries around the world, as indicated by the abundance of its variants listed by the WPC.
