Levi’s Jacquard Trucker Jacket update includes Uber alerts to let you know that your ride has arrived. Google and Levi’s are updating the jacket to bring in a few additional features to make it a bit more functional than before, and while this won’t be a huge update that comes along with tons of new features the few that it does add will no doubt make for a smoother commute or overall day based on what sorts of technology you may interact with, and of course alerts that your Uber or Lyft ride have shown up are but one new feature to look forward to if you have one of these jackets to wear.
The update will also make it possible to bookmark places so long as you configure the jacket to do so, which you’ll do through the companion app that you have installed on your smartphone. If you use Uber or Lyft, you can even set up the jacket to read details about the car aloud when it’s nearby so you know what to look for. Information that you would normally find in the apps, like the make and model of the car, the color, and the license plate, can all be read aloud into a set of connected headphones or earbuds.
Speaking of headphones, there’s also a new feature to enable or disable noise cancellation on the Bose QuietComfort 30 or QuietComfort 35 series headphones, which is likely to be extremely useful if you take public transit to get around and do so on a consistent basis. This handful of features is a list which aren’t really unique to the Jacquard jacket and could easily be set up in other ways, but to help cut down the amount of times you need to interact with your device display these are probably going to be features that wearers of the jacket will appreciate. The update should be heading out to owners of the Jacquard Trucker jacket at some point this week.
