The Nokia X surfaced a couple of times thus far, and judging by a new teaser image that surfaced in China, the phone will be announced on May 16 in the country. At least that’s what reports are saying, even though the device is not mentioned in this poster at all. In any case, this event will kick off at 2PM (local time), and based on the drawings in this image, some reports are suggesting that the phone will ship with gaming features.
Now, that poster is not the only Nokia X-related leak that surfaced, as the phone’s real-life images appeared as well, along with some promo materials, and seemingly official renders of the device. Now, if you take a look at the provided images in the gallery down below, you’ll be able to see pretty much everything you need to see when it comes to the phone’s design, as these images are clear enough to show us more or less every side of the phone. Nokia’s logo will be included below the phone’s display, while the display on this device will sport rounded corners. All the physical keys are included on the right-hand side of the device, and a display notch is included as well. Two cameras are placed on the back of the device, along with a fingerprint scanner, LED flash, and Nokia’s branding. A Type-C charging port will be included on the bottom of the device, along with the phone’s loudspeaker.
Now, some spec info regarding this handset also surfaced a while back, and if that info is to be believed, the Nokia X will arrive with a 5.8-inch display, we’re probably looking at a fullHD+ panel here. The phone is also rumored to ship with the Snapdragon 636 64-bit octa-core processor, which is Qualcomm’s mid-range chip, while the device will likely include 6GB of RAM. Interestingly enough, a model with the Helio P60 SoC, and 4GB of RAM had also been mentioned in previous rumors, so… it remains to be seen what we’ll get. Now, the Nokia X will probably be somewhat affordable, and if rumors are to be believed, the pricing will start at 1,499 Yuan $251) in China.
