Vivo X21 Goes Global, Coming To India & More Markets Soon

Vivo had introduced the X21 handset in China back in March, and the phone is now making its way to more markets. This handset has been launched in Singapore, which makes that the first market outside of China that the Vivo X21 is available in. The phone is priced at S$799 ($598) in the country, and it will become available starting on May 5. A new rumor claims that the phone will arrive to India soon, launch by the end of May, and become available in early June. The company is actually expected to release the Vivo X21 in more markets in the coming months, though exact details are currently not available.

For those of you who do not know, the Vivo X21 is essentially the Vivo X20, but it has an in-display fingerprint scanner, which is something we cannot say for the Vivo X20. The phone is made out of metal and glass, while it sports a display notch, and a thin ‘chin’ below the display. The phone’s bezels are really thin, while a vertically-aligned dual camera setup is placed on the back of the phone. Now, the Vivo X21 is fueled by the Snapdragon 660 64-bit octa-core processor, while it sports a 6.28-inch fullHD+ Super AMOLED display. This is probably the same display size that will be included in the OnePlus 6, and the design of the OnePlus 6 will resemble the Vivo X21 as well, at least if you look at the phone from the front, as the back side will be somewhat different, but still make out of glass. The Vivo X21 features 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, which you can expand using a microSD card (up to 256GB).

The phone features a 3,200mAh battery which supports fast charging, while you’ll find 12 and 5-megapixel cameras on the back of this handset. A 12-megapixel camera is included on the front side of the Vivo X21, while a 3.5mm headphone jack is also included in this package. Android 8.1 Oreo comes pre-installed on the phone, while Vivo’s Funtouch OS 4.0 is installed on top of it. The device includes two SIM card slots, we’re looking at two nano SIM card slots here, and this is a hybrid dual SIM setup, so the second SIM card slot can be used to expand the phone’s memory, though you’ll need a microSD card, of course.
