Watch OnePlus 6 Android Flagship Get Announced Live Here

The OnePlus 6 launch event is set to kick off in just under two hours, with the Chinese smartphone manufacturer choosing a London venue for the introduction of its latest and greatest Android flagship. As was the case with all previous announcements from OnePlus, the OnePlus 6 product event will be live-streamed and anyone interested in watching it can do so below at no cost.

The upcoming smartphone has already been leaked in an extensive manner over the course of the last several months, with OnePlus itself confirming a wide variety of details about its next offering. It’s hence certain that the OnePlus 6 will be coming with a 19:9 FHD+ display featuring a notch, with the inclusion of the cutout being described as a functional choice meant to maximize the amount of screen real estate on offer without resulting in a physical footprint larger than that of the OnePlus 5T. The most premium variant of the OnePlus 6 will boast 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage space, whereas the base model is expected to retain the 6GB-64GB configuration of last year’s flagship. The entire lineup will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 system-on-chip, feature a 3.5mm headphone jack, and run Android 8.1 Oreo-based OxygenOS out of the box.

Rumors are pointing to another dual-camera setup being part of the package as well, with OnePlus itself recently hinting at some artificial intelligence-enhanced imaging features. The OnePlus 6 is expected to be somewhat more expensive than its predecessor and start at around $600, depending on the market. Pre-orders for the device are expected to open later today, with the OnePlus 6 being likely to go on global sale by this time next week. With every previously released OnePlus-made smartphone outselling its direct predecessor, the OnePlus 6 is predicted to continue that trend, especially as the Shenzhen-based company is now expanding its presence to more markets around the world.
