It seems like the Xiaomi Mi 7 and Mi Band 3 could become official before the end of this month, at least according to China-based tipsters. @IceUniverse said on his official Weibo (Chinese social network), that the Xiaomi Mi 7 will arrive before the end of May, and @Kumamoto actually agreed with that assessment, while he also added that the phone will be announced in Shenzen, and that the Mi Band 3 fitness tracker will be announced alongside the company’s new flagship smartphone.
Having said that, a poster leaked quite recently suggesting that the phone will arrive on May 23, though reports suggested that it’s fake, so it remains to be seen if there’s any truth there. In any case, the Mi 7 was expected to arrive in April, but the company decided to announce the Mi MIX 2S instead, so the Mi 7’s launch got postponed a bit, and rumors suggested that the phone will be announced at the end of summer, but if these new rumors are to be believed, the phone will actually arrive by the end of May. Xiaomi had already teased the arrival of the Mi Band 3, and as part of the company’s teaser image, which was published recently, a part of the Mi Band 3’s design was revealed as well. That fitness tracker will sport a display, just like the Mi Band 2, but it will sport a lot more curves than its predecessor it seems. A silicone band will be included in the package, and chances are that a heart rate sensor will sit on the bottom of the Mi Band 3, just like it was the case on the Mi Band 2.
The Xiaomi Mi 7, on the other hand, will be fueled by the Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core processor, while it will include at least 6GB of RAM. the device is rumored to sport a display notch, like many other Chinese smartphones out there, while an in-display fingerprint scanner ad also been mentioned, though it remains to be seen if there’s any truth to that. The phone will supports wireless charging, while Android Oreo will come pre-installed on the device, likely with MIUI 9.5. The device is expected to sport a dual camera setup on its back, and its display will be larger than the panel used in the Mi 6 (5.15-inch one), but the general footprint of the phone is not expected to be much larger, as the phone will sport noticeably thinner bezels than the Mi 6.
