The Xiaomi Mi 8 had leaked a number of times thus far, and the phone has just leaked yet again. If you take a look at the provided image, you will be able to see the device itself. As you can see, the phone does come with a rather wide notch at the top of its display, which is not exactly surprising as it is expected to sport 3D facial scanning, similar to the one implemented in the iPhone X.
Now, in addition to that notch, this image also reveals that the phone’s display will sport rounded corners, and that its back will be curved on the sides. A vertically-aligned dual camera setup will be included on the back of the phone, on its left side, that is, and in-between those two cameras the phone will feature an LED flash. This is a Blue variant of the phone, which sports a blue-colored back, and a black-colored front side. All of the phone’s physical buttons sit on the right, it seems, which probably means that a SIM card tray will be located on its left, though this image does not reveal that. We don’t really get to see the bottom portion of the phone’s front or backside, but the Mi 8 will sport a rather thin “chin” down there, which is something a recent leak revealed.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 will be announced on May 31, that much Xiaomi confirmed already, and in addition to the Mi 8, the company also confirmed that MIUI 10 and the Mi Band 3 will be announced on May 31 as well. The Xiaomi Mi 8 will be made out of metal and glass, while it will support wireless charging, like the Mi MIX 2S. The device will be fueled by the Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core processor, and it will sport at least 6GB of RAM, though an 8GB RAM variant is also a possibility. Android 8.1 Oreo will come pre-installed on the phone, while Xiaomi’s MIUI 10 skin will probably sit on top of Google’s Android OS, as that version of Xiaomi’s skin will be announced on May 31, so it makes sense Xiaomi will showcase it on the Mi 8, but it remains to be seen if that theory is correct.
