Xiaomi Plans To Open 61 Mi Stores In Only Four Days

Xiaomi is planning to open 61 Mi Stores in just four days. The company has been shifting its focus on offline sales more and more in the last couple of years, in order to boost its sales and compete with the likes of Huawei, OPPO, and Vivo in China. That strategy seems to be working as Xiaomi’s sales are booming, and the last move that this China-based company will make is open 61 Mi Stores across various cities in China, and all of that will happen in only four days, which is quite interesting.

Back in 2017, beginning of that year, Xiaomi said that it will open 200 new Mi Stores in China by the end of the year, and the company did achieve that goal, but it doesn’t plan to stop there. Xiaomi is actually planning to open 2,000 Mi Stores in the next three years, and half of those stores will be located in cities outside of China, which only emphasizes Xiaomi’s focus on other markets as well. China and India are still Xiaomi’s main markets, but the company has already opened Mi Stores in Russia, Spain, the Philippines, and Italy. Several Mi Home Experience Stores are also coming, while Xiaomi has opened a ton of Mi Stores in India already, and will probably cross that magic 100 number by the end of this year. Xiaomi now combines offline and online sales, while it was primarily focused on online sales before, and this new strategy is paying off for the company, as it dethroned Samsung in India, it grew immensely in China, and it’s also climbing up the ladder on a global scale, getting close to the top 5 smartphone manufacturers.

XIaomi is reportedly planning its IPO filing later this month, while Xiaomi is also expected to announce its new flagship, the Mi 7, by the end of this month as well, at least if a leaked poster is to be believed. The Xiaomi Mi Band 3 fitness tracker is also coming, as the company teased it quite recently. All in all, Xiaomi doesn’t plan to stop anytime soon, and it will be interesting to see what will happen by the end of this year, especially considering the company’s IPO is looming, and it could change things drastically for Xiaomi.
