Following its arrivals in Spain and France, Xiaomi has just opened up shop in Italy as well. The company arrived in Spain a while back, while it arrived in France a couple of days ago, well, now one of its Mi Stores is live in Italy as well, Milan, to be exact. Xiaomi’s VP, Wang Xiang, was present at the event, and unveiled the devices that will be on sale in Xiaomi’s Italy Mi Store. Mr. Xiang said that consumers will be able to purchase the company’s product in Milan starting on May 26 at 11:30AM (GMT 1), at Il Centro shopping mall which is located at Via Guiseppe Eugenio Luraghi 11, 20020 Arese in Milan.
Xiaomi announced that it will initially offer three products in the store, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S flagship, the Redmi Note 5 mid-ranger, and its Mi Electric Scooter. The Xiaomi MI MIX 2S is the most powerful handset the company introduced thus far, and it arrived in two variants to Italy, the more affordable model features 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, while the more expensive one comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. These two variants of the Mi MIX 2S are priced at €499.90 and #€599.90 in Italy, respectively. The Mi MIX 2S is made out of ceramic and metal, while the phone is fueled by the Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core processor. The device also includes a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, and a dual camera setup on the back. A 5.99-inch fullHD+ display is also a part of this package, and a notch is not present here. The device sports really thin bezels, and a small “chin” below the display.
The Redmi Note 5, on the other hand, sports a 5.99-inch fullHD+ display, while it is fueled by the Snapdragon 636 64-bit octa-core SoC. Two 12-megapixel cameras are included on the back of the phone, and the device is made out of metal. The REdmi Note 5 comes in 3GB RAM + 32GB storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage models, which are priced at €199.90 and €249.90 in Italy. Those of you who are interested in the Mi Electric Scooter should know that it is priced at €349.90 in Italy. Xiaomi has also announced that the Redmi 5, Mi A1, and the Mi MIX 2 are coming as well, while the company plans to launch the Mi TV Box, Mi Robot Builder, and Mi Action Camera in the near future as well.
