Alleged Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Appears In A Real-Life Image

Xiaomi had announced that the Redmi 6 series will arrive on June 12, and the Redmi 6 or Redmi Note 6 has just surfaced. If you take a look at the provided image, you will see a real-life shot of the Redmi 6 (at least according to the source, though it seems more like the Redmi Note 6), and this image shows both the phone’s front and back sides. This phone is made out of metal, and it sports a rear-facing fingerprint scanner. The phone also comes with a vertically-aligned dual camera setup, and it also sports a display notch. In addition to the notch, the device also features a “chin” below the display, while all of its physical keys are included on the right side of the phone’s body.

Now, it is possible that the device that is shown in an image above is not the Redmi 6, but rather the Redmi Note 6. Both the alleged Redmi 6 and Redmi Note 6 got certified by TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC) a while back, and if those devices are in fact the Redmi 6 and Redmi Note 6, the Redmi 6 will not sport a display notch, unlike the Redmi Note 6, and it will also sport thicker bezels in general. The Redmi 6 is said to ship with a 5.45-inch display, while the Redmi Note 6 will feature a 5.84-inch panel, according to TENAA. All of this leads us to believe that the phone pictured in this real life image is not the Redmi 6, but rather the Redmi Note 6, as not only does it sport a display notch and really thin bezels, but its display also seems to be larger than 5.45 inches, at least in contrast to the hand that is holding it in the provided image. The Redmi Note 6 may become official along with the Redmi 6 on June 12, but who knows, we’ll just have to wait and see.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 is expected to sport a 5.84-inch fullHD+ (2280 x 1080) display, along with 2GB, 3GB or 4GB of RAM, and those three RAM variants are expected to include 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB of native storage, respectively. The phone will be fueled by a 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 2GHz, while Android 8.1 Oreo will come pre-installed on the phone, along with MIUI. A 3,900mAh battery had also been mentioned, and the phone is expected to sport 12 and 8-megapixel cameras on its back, and a single 5-megapixel camera on the front.
