CBS is extending its streaming agreement with the NFL through 2022. As part of the agreement any NFL games which are are airing on CBS will be available on CBS All Access through the 2022 season, giving subscribers of the standalone streaming service plenty of time to enjoy the games without the need for a traditional cable package from a provider. What’s more is that CBS All Access NFL streaming is coming to mobile devices, meaning games can also be streamed to the screen in your hands and on the go so you never have to miss the best game moments even if you’re not at home.
The mobile device viewing of upcoming NFL games will be part of the expansion to CBS All Access and TV Everywhere subscribers, and the CBS All Access app is available for Android smartphones as well as tablets. The service is also available through a number of different platforms too, like PlayStation 4, Roku devices, Chromecast, Apple TV, Android TV, Fire TV, Xbox One, and a number of Samsung Smart TVs, so you don’t have to watch on mobile if you’d rather view things on a bigger screen while at home.
The extended deal will allow subscribers of CBS All Access regardless of the chosen platform to watch the complete 2018 NFL on CBS schedule, which is quite a few games so users should be able to catch a lot of them. The deal also includes the streaming rights to Super Bowl LIII, and with the availability to watch games from a smartphone you won’t have to rely on score updates from friends and the web. CBS doesn’t mention any exact dates for the streaming, but since it does note that it begins with this season and that all 2018 NFL on CBS games are included, chances are that streaming from a mobile device will start whenever the first game on CBS airs.
