Galaxy Note 9 Won't Include A Screenshot Button: Tipster

Yesterday, a report surfaced claiming that the Samsung Galaxy Note 9’s leaked extra button may be used for screenshots, but it seems like that report was not accurate, at least according to some new info provided by a well-known tipster. According to Ice Universe’s latest Twitter post, the Galaxy Note 9 will not sport a button in the lower portion of its right side at all, as a recently leaked case suggested. Some cases will have two holes included there for the lanyard, however, which makes sense.

Having said that, the source also shared three images of the alleged Galaxy Note 9 case, which lets you see those holes for the lanyard, and the lanyard itself. This case seems to be made out of plastic, and as you can see, there are quite a few cutouts included on the bottom of it. The middle one is there for a Type-C USB port, while a microphone cutout is located next to it, and on the other side, you can see a cutout for the S Pen stylus, which means its dock will be accessible from the bottom yet again. One of the two cutouts on the other side of the phone’s bottom side is for the loudspeaker, while we’re not sure what the remaining one is for, to be quite honest. This case leak also suggests that the device will sport a horizontal dual camera setup, and a fingerprint scanner right below those two cameras. Having said that, the Galaxy Note 9 is expected to ship with your regular setup of physical keys, well, regular for Samsung’s phones, as the Bixby key will be a part of the package yet again, in addition to the power / lock, volume up and volume down keys.

Recent rumors suggested that the Galaxy Note 9 will ship with a 4,000mAh battery, and that the company is planning to release a faster wireless charger along with the Galaxy Note 9. The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is expected to arrive in August, early August if rumors are to be believed, and chances are it will be made out of metal and glass, just like the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus. The Galaxy Note 9 will sport a dual camera setup on the back, and its fingerprint scanner will also lie on the back as well. The device’s display will be curved, and Android 8.1 Oreo will come pre-installed on the phone, along with Samsung’s custom UI.
