Lenovo’s VP, Chang Cheng, had recently confirmed that the upcoming Lenovo Z5 will sport a glass back, and the phone’s renders have just surfaced in China, revealing the design of its front side, plus the position of its front-facing camera. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you will see two alleged Lenovo Z5 renders, which confirm extremely thin bezels of the device, considerably rounded display corners, and a front-facing which is located below the phone’s display. Now, this phone’s camera will not be located in the bottom-right corner of the device, instead, it will be centered below the phone’s display, which makes this implementation different from Xiaomi’s, as the Mi MIX 2S’ camera is located in the bottom-right corner of the phone’s front side.
The provided renders clearly show us that the device will ship with basically no bezels on the sides and above the display, but it will have that thin chin below the display which will host its front-facing camera. The power / lock, volume up, and down buttons will be included on the right side of the device, while the phone’s frame will be made out of metal. Lenovo’s VP has been teasing this handset for quite some time now, he already shared three official renders of the device, showing different portions of the phone, while he also shared a sketch of the device as well. The company’s VP announced that the device will ship with 4TB of storage (at least one of its variants), while he also said that the phone will sport at least 95-percent screen-to-body ratio, making it almost completely bezel-less.
Mr. Cheng did not exactly talk about the Lenovo Z5’s specs, but we do know that the phone will be announced on June 5 in China, and that’s when we’ll get more info about it. The Lenovo Z5 will almost certainly be a flagship smartphone, despite the fact we don’t have any spec info thus far. The phone is expected to ship with the Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core processor, and at least 6GB of RAM, though an 8GB RAM variant is also a possibility. The device will probably ship with a dual camera setup on the back, while Android Oreo is expected to come pre-installed on the device, along with Lenovo’s custom UI.
