Device concept render creator Phone Designer recently released a new concept render of the Google Pixel 3 XL, which are based on the recent set of leaks circulating about the device. The same creator already released concept designs of the Pixel 3 XL late last month, but this time Phone Designer focused on how the Pixel 3 XL would look like if Google decides to make the device available in the current color variants of the Pixel 2 and the Pixel 2 XL, which are Panda, Just Black, and Kinda Blue.
It is interesting to note that the new concept renders show a single rear camera that is placed near the upper left-hand corner of the device’s back panel, while previous renders from the same creator showed the Pixel 3 XL with two rear cameras. This is likely in response to recent leaks which claim that the upcoming flagship offering from the search giant will sport a single rear camera, essentially bucking the trend among flagship devices which now mostly sport dual rear camera setups. Moreover, the concept render also shows that the rear panel will also contain the fingerprint scanner for quickly unlocking the device while both the volume rocker and the power button are located on the right side of the device. The color of the power button differs in each possible color variant of the device, the concept render highlights.
Meanwhile, the concept render also shows that black front panel of the Pixel 3 XL, and it also highlights the notch that will likely be placed above the handset’s display, which matches up with a couple of leaks that appeared recently. The notch contains a dual front-facing camera setup and the earpiece, while the concept render also includes a narrow chin below the display, which contains the forward-facing loudspeaker of the smartphone. The designer also incorporated into the render the gesture-based navigation of Android P. For example, the concept design included a single pill-shaped button located at the bottom of the display, which is used to navigate through the user interface of the device. This single button allows the user to access the recent apps, the home screen, and the Google Assistant.
