A new Nokia concept smartphone has surfaced on YouTube, the Nokia 9x. This new concept video / design come from the ‘Concept Creator’ YouTube page, and it shows a rather interesting phone which sports three cameras on its back. The Nokia 9x name was probably made up by the source, as we did not see any info about the device leak out or anything of the sort. Do keep in mind that this is just a concept design, not a leak of any kind.
Having said that, this phone comes with a rather boxy design, it has chamfered edges, though it’s nowhere near as curved as most of the device these days. The phone is made out of metal, at least its frame is, as it’s possible that the designer envisioned a different material for the phone’s back side. The phone sports a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is located on the very top of the phone, while you will notice two identical speaker grills above and below the display, which suggests that front-facing speakers were envisioned for the Nokia 9x as well. All the physical keys sit on the right-hand side of this device, while a SIM card tray is located on the left. The most interesting part of this design lies on the back of the device, as you will notice that there are three cameras included back there, two above the dual-LED flash, and one below it, while a fingerprint scanner is also included on the back of this phone. Nokia’s branding is placed on the back of the device as well, and the designer showed off a couple of different color variants of this phone in the provided video. The designer combined black with yellow (gold) colors, and white with yellow (gold).
As already mentioned, this is just a concept design, and the designer did not share any specs that he envisioned for the device, only its design. Do not expect Nokia to release this phone, and if at some point the company decides to release the Nokia 9x, it will almost certainly look considerably different than this concept device.
