The Nubia Z18 has just surfaced in three real-life images. The Nubia Z17 was announced back in June last year, which means that the Nubia Z18 is probably right around the corner, and this leak adds more fuel to the fire. The Nubia Z17’s side bezels were basically non-existent, but the phone did have thick top and bottom bezels, which is something Nubia fixed with the Nubia Z17s, but it seems like the company is planning to push things even further forward with the Nubia Z18, at least according to the leaked images.
Based on the provided images, the Nubia Z18 will sport really thin bezels, though a “chin” will be included below its display. The phone will also include a really thin, Essential PH-1-like display notch, which means that only its front-facing camera will be included inside of that notch. That notch “breaks” the display, but it’s not as obtrusive as most of them are, as it doesn’t cover all that much display, so it won’t affect your notification icons, clock placement, or anything of the sort. The phone’s display sports rounded corners, and unfortunately, we don’t get to see the back side of this phone. These images do suggest that the phone will ship with a large display, at least in contrast to the hand that holds the device in the provided images. Chances are that the phone will be made out of metal and glass, even though we didn’t get to see the back side of the device just yet, at least not a real-life image.
The Nubia Z18 did surface on TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC) a while back, which basically means we know what to expect as far as specs are concerned. The device is expected to sport a 5.99-inch fullHD+ display, along with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of native storage. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core SoC will fuel the phone, while the device will include 24 and 8-megapixel cameras on its back. An 8-megapixel selfie camera will also be a part of the package, while the device will include a 3,350mAh battery as well. Android 8.0 Oreo or 8.1 Oreo is expected along with Nubia’s custom UI, while the device will be 8.55mm thick, and will weigh 172 grams.
