OxygenOS 5.1.7 Lands On The OnePlus 6 With Plenty Of Fixes

Following the OxygenOS 5.1.6 update for the OnePlus 6 which landed less than a week ago, OnePlus has just released yet another update for its new flagship, OyxgenOS 5.1.7. This is an incremental update, and it does not exactly bring any new features to the table, but it does come with some needed fixes. OnePlus did release a full changelog for the update in its forums, as per usual, while the company also mentioned an upcoming update as well.

The first thing the company mentioned in its changelog is the fact that this update fixes scheduled setting issue for Do Not Disturb (DND) mode on the OnePlus 6. There were some reports in the company’s forum regarding this, and OnePlus was fast to react and fix the issue. In addition to that, the company also updated bootloader for system security enhancements, and on top of all that, it seems like OnePlus also included some unnamed bug fixes and improvements in OxygenOS 5.1.7. OxygenOS on the OnePlus 6 is more than stable, but there are still some kinks out there that need to be ironed out, and hopefully, these improvements that the company included will take care of some of them.

Now, in addition to listing the changelog for this update, OnePlus has also mentioned that it received some reports regarding stability issues with OxygenOS 5.1.6, and that those reports came from India. OnePlus has mentioned that it has paused the rollout of OxygenOS 5.1.6, and that the OxygenOS 5.1.7 will not be released in India, but that the company will release OxygenOS 5.1.8 next week, which will fix those India-related issues, and also bring all the changes that OxygenOS 5.1.7 brought to the table. OnePlus has released quite a few updates since the OnePlus 6 got released, and along the way, a number of features were added, along with some general improvements. Thus far, the company update the phone’s general camera quality, added portrait mode for the front-facing camera, and included a battery percentage option for the status bar, to name a few.
