Vivo NEX Pop-Up Camera Teaser Appears, Real-Life Images Leak

Vivo had already announced that its ‘bezel-less’ NEX smartphone(s) will launch on June 12, and the company has just released a new teaser for the upcoming device, while a couple of real-life images of the phone surfaced as well, along with specs for one of the NEX devices. That’s plenty of info to take in, so let’s take one piece of info at a time, shall we, starting with the official teaser that Vivo shared.

If you take a look at the first image in the gallery down below, you will see the company’s newest teaser, which more or less confirms that the device will sport a pop-up selfie camera, well, at least one of its variants will, as Vivo is expected to introduce two or three NEX variants on June 12. The Vivo NEX is a model of the phone which will sport a pop-up selfie camera, while the Vivo NEX S will sport with a regular front-facing camera which will be included in the phone’s bottom-right corner, at least if rumors and leaks are to be believed. The Vivo NEX A was also mentioned in a recent certification, but that is probably a China-exclusive model of the device. If you check out the second or third image down below, you will be able to see two real-life Vivo NEX images, which give us a really nice look at the device, revealing its extremely high screen-to-body ratio. This phone is made in the Vivo APEX’s image, and for those of you who do not know, the Vivo APEX is the company’s concept phone which was shown off during this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. The Vivo NEX is expected to sport a 98-percent screen-to-body ratio, and the thickest bezel will be located on its bottom, though that bezel will be only marginally thicker than the rest of the phone’s bezels, which are almost non-existent.

Having said that, the fourth image in the gallery down below shares the Vivo NEX S’ spec sheet, that variant of the phone will carry mid-range specs it seems. Previous rumors suggested that it will be fueled by the Snapdragon 710 64-bit octa-core SoC, and this leak says the same. In addition to that, the phone is said to sport a 6.01-inch display, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. A 3,320mAh battery will also be a part of the package, and so will Android 8.1 Oreo. 20 and 16-megapixel cameras will be placed on the back of the Vivo NEX S, while a single 24-megapixel camera will be included on the phone’s front side.
