Huawei P20 & P20 Pro Get Camera Improvements Via Beta Update

The Huawei P20 and P20 Pro have started receiving a new update as part of its beta initiative, version 8.1.0.132, which adds some new features and general improvements. This update retains Android 8.1 Oreo and Emotion UI (EMUI) 8.1, but it brings gestures, camera optimizations, and also display optimizations to the two Huawei-branded flagships. This update is rolling out in batches, and needless to say, you need to be a part of Huawei Android beta program in order to get it.

It is worth noting that update is limited to the EML-AL00 and EML-TL00 P20 model numbers, and CLT-AL00, CLT-AL01, CLT-TL00, and CLT-TL01 P20 Pro model numbers. This update brings ‘gestures’, though we’re still not sure what kind, that entry may or may not refer to the phone’s navigation, the source doesn’t really elaborate on it. In addition to that, the update is also expected to further improve image quality that the P20 and P20 Pro’s cameras can shoot, and those two phones are already regarded to be amongst the best camera smartphones out there. On top of that, display brightness improvements are also included in the update, though that refers only to the phone’s Power Saving Mode, as the display brightness isn’t exactly the best in that mode, at least as far as the current stable update is concerned. That seems to be it, more or less, if you’d like to see the listing, please visit the source link down below.

The Huawei P20 and P20 Pro were introduced back in March, and those two devices are amongst the best camera smartphones out there, if not at the top of the food chain. Both devices have already received quite a few updates, and both devices are made out of metal and glass. The P20 and P20 Pro are Huawei’s flagship handsets, the first comes with two rear-facing cameras, while the second one sports three cameras on the back. Leica’s lenses are also a part of the package, while both phones are fueled by Huawei’s flagship Kirin 970 64-bit octa-core processor.
