A real-life image of a spec sheet said to belong to Samsung’s Galaxy Note 9 appeared online earlier today, corroborating a number of previous rumors about the upcoming Android flagship. The image that can be seen below specifically references a device with model number SM-N960N which is believed to be the variant Samsung intends to sell in its home country of South Korea. The contents of the sheet are largely in line with previous reports and rumors about the device, with the only exception being the implication that the base model of the handset will feature 64GB of storage space. While numerous insiders already claimed the same, a number of more recent rumors suggested Samsung may be doing away with the 64GB configuration and equip the most affordable version of the Galaxy Note 9 with 128GB of flash memory.
The latest leak indicates the two more accessible Galaxy Note 9 models will feature 6GB of RAM, with the memory in question likely being of the LPDDR4X variety and the device being identical to last year’s Galaxy Note 8 in that regard. The international variant of the handset will be powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 9810 chip, the same silicon implemented into the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus launched earlier this year, as per the same source. A 6.3-inch Super AMOLED screen with a QHD+ resolution and an 18.5:9 aspect ratio will also be part of the package, the same leak suggests. Samsung will likely be advertising the screen as yet another one of its “Infinity Display” panels and have it curve around the long edges of the device.
The Galaxy Note 9 will run Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, the spec sheet indicates, with its firmware likely being Samsung’s custom implementation of Google’s operating system that the company is rumored to call Samsung Experience 9.5. The same leak also lists the Galaxy Note 9 as being fueled by a 4,000mAh battery, with that particular figure already being mentioned by a number of previous rumors. Samsung‘s new Android flagship will be announced in New York City on August 9 and is expected to start retailing globally on August 24.
