LG G8 ThinQ Concept Sports Thin Bezels, Android 9.0: Video

The LG G8 ThinQ is nowhere near being announced, as the LG G7 ThinQ launched recently, but that did not stop designers from creating a third-party concept design of the device. If you take a look at the embedded video down below, you will be able to see one such design that comes from the ‘Science and Knowledge’ YouTube channel. The designer behind this device envisioned the phone in Red, Black, Gray and Blue color variants, and the device actually looks considerably different than the LG G7 ThinQ.

The device that is shown here is made out of metal and glass, and it sports really thin bezels, though it does have a ‘forehead’, in other words, it has a thin bezel above the display which houses a front-facing camera, earpiece, and sensors, while one such bezel is not included below the display. The display on this phone sports rounded corners, while a SIM card is accessible from the top of the device. The power / lock key is located on the right, while the phone’s volume up and down buttons sit on the left. An in-display fingerprint scanner is also a part of the package, while the device features two vertically-aligned cameras on the back, below which you will notice an LED flash. Laser autofocus is also visible on the back, and so is the company’s logo, along with the ‘G8 ThinQ’ branding.

Now, along with the design itself, the designer envisioned some specs for it. Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 sits on both the phone’s front and back sides, while the phone is both IP68-certified and MIL-STD-810G compliant. A 6.2-inch QHD+ (3120 x 1440) AMOLED display sits on the front, and that display is both Dolby Vision and HDR10-compliant. Android 9.0 (aka Android P) comes pre-installed, while the phone is fueled by the Snapdragon 845. This imaginary phone sports 6GB / 8GB of RAM and 128GB / 256GB of internal storage, while that storage is expandable up to 512GB. 16 and 20-megapixel cameras sit on the back of the phone, while a single 16-megapixel camera is included on the front. Wireless charging, fast wired charging, and a 3.5mm headphone are all part of the offering as well, at least that’s what the designer envisioned for this LG G7 ThinQ concept.
