LG Stylo 4 & Samsung Galaxy J7 Star Launch At T-Mobile

T-Mobile has two new smartphones joining its lineup today, which is the LG Stylo 4 and the Samsung Galaxy J7 Star. Both of these are mid-range smartphones, but they also support T-Mobile’s 600MHz spectrum, which it is working to quickly roll out across the country right now. So it’s good to see more options coming to its network that support the newest LTE band.

The LG Stylo 4 has already launched on a few carriers, including MetroPCS. It’s the successor to the very popular Stylo 3 that the company launched last year. It sports a 6.2-inch 2160×1080 resolution display, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. LG does include a micro SD card slot here for expanding storage. There is a 3300mAh capacity battery inside, with a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing sensor. Finally it’s running on Android 8.1 Oreo and of course has a built-in stylus.

Now the Samsung Galaxy J7 Star is somewhat similar, but it does have a 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED Display, so that’s a slight downgrade. It’s also running on an unnamed octa-core processor (likely an Exynos chipset), along with 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage with micro SD card support and there is also a 2600mAh capacity battery included here. This runs on Android 8.0 Oreo and has 13-megapixel cameras on the front and back.

Both the LG Stylo 4 and Samsung Galaxy J7 Star are priced at $250 each. Now you can buy these outright, or pick them up for $10 down and $10 per month on T-Mobile’s Equipment Installment Plan. These are both pretty decent smartphones from LG and Samsung, and do offer some interesting use-cases. It’s also good to see that both of these support 600MHz so that you can pick these up and not worry about not connecting to T-Mobile’s latest spectrum.
