Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Note 9 flagship will retain the base price of its predecessor, according to a newly leaked poster detailing the smartphone’s pre-sale availability in Indonesia. The 128GB variant of device that’s suggested to be the base model of the device is listed as being available for the equivalent of $930, which is approximately the same price tag that’s still attached to the Galaxy Note 8 in the Asian country. The poster that can be seen below also mentions the 512GB model, priced at around $1,200. Both figures are in line with other recent reports about the upcoming Android phablet, including the one that claims the 512GB version of the Galaxy Note 9 will be the most expensive Samsung-made handset ever.
Indonesian consumers will also receive a complimentary mobile data package from wireless carrier Indosat, as well as a 32-inch or 40-inch Smart TV from Samsung, depending on the Galaxy Note 9 model they pre-order. A product render obtained by AndroidHeadlines earlier this month suggested some of Samsung’s pre-order promotions in other countries will include bundles with the Gear S3 smartwatch, DeX Station, and IconX wireless earbuds, also depending on the variant of the device. The only detail casting some doubt over the validity of the latest leak is the list of available Galaxy Note 9 colors that it references – Mystic Black, Engineered Blue, and Artisan Copper. None of those are expected to be the official names of any Galaxy Note 9 models, with numerous previous reports suggesting the device will be available in Midnight Black, Deep Sea Blue, Teddy Brown, and several other colors, but not copper.
The South Korean tech giant will unveil the Galaxy Note 9 on August 9, with the handset being expected to become available for pre-orders shortly thereafter. The Samsung-made phablet is expected to debut an improved dual-camera setup, higher-capacity battery, and an enhanced S Pen stylus compared to the Galaxy Note 8. Bixby 2.0 should also be part of the package, together with Android 8.1 Oreo-based Samsung Experience 9.5.
