Verizon Debuts 'Safe WiFi' A VPN To Protect Your Internet Browsing

Verizon has just announced its own VPN or Virtual Private Network service, which is being called Safe WiFi. It is a service that will cost $3.99 per month and allow you to browse the internet without having to worry about your information being stolen, or your browsing history being tracked. And that’s because a VPN will encrypt your data and history. For $3.99 per month, you can protect up to 10 devices on your Verizon account. So if you do have a family account, you can keep everyone safe. And for $3.99 per month, it’s definitely worth it to keep everyone safe.

Safe WiFi will automatically turn on when you connect to public WiFi. Of course, that is when you need it the most, considering public WiFi is typically not secure at all. Which makes it easy for people to steal your data. This is why security professionals always stress to never log into your bank account while connected to a public WiFi network. As it is super easy for people to hack the network and get that information. But now with Safe WiFi, you can check your bank account on a public WiFi network and not need to worry about it, as your data is encrypted and safe now.

Verizon has also included an ad tracker blocker in Safe WiFi. Now this will not block ads from showing up on web pages that you visit. But it will block the trackers from following you around the internet. That means that after you’ve searched for a flight for your upcoming vacation, you won’t see all sorts of airline and vacation ads everywhere you go, as Safe WiFi has blocked those ad trackers from being able to see what you’ve been searching for. It means that ads won’t be as targeted as they usually are, but that might be a good thing. You can learn more about Safe WiFi using the link below.
