Audio-Technica has just announced its first set of truly wireless earbuds, at IFA 2018 in Berlin, Germany. These in-ear headphones or earbuds, include Audio-Technica’s new True Wireless technology, so you will no longer need to worry about wires. The ATH-CKR7TW are able to deliver some great audio quality, while being completely wireless, and allowing you to still use them for answering calls when they come in. These are high-fidelity earbuds, so those audiophiles out there that have been waiting for some high quality, truly wireless earbuds, these are the ones to check out.
The ATH-CKR7TW also have a sleek design and interchangeable 3D Loop Support, so that they will stay in your ears, but also look pretty descreet. That makes these a great pair of earbuds to take on a run or to the gym, especially since they are sweat proof like most in-ear headphones. Audio-Technica has included touch controls on the earbuds, so you are able to control your music, adjust volume and also answer or hang up on phone calls. The company is using 11mm drivers in the ATH-CKR7TW, which have bene specially tuned, and also feature a diamond-like carbon coated diaphragm. This combines light weight with rigidity for a faster response time and less distortion in your music. Audio-Technica also notes that Driver performance is even further enhanced, due to isolating the acoustic and electronic components from each other, which allows for optimum airflow from the drivers.
Audio-Technica will be offering the ATH-CKR7TW two colors – black and gray. These earbuds will also last around six hours of continuous playback. The included charging case will give you an additional nine hours, which isn’t a whole lot, basically a little more than one full charge. Audio-Technica does also include XS, S, M and L-sized eartips with a USB charging cable in the box. These will be available beginning in the fall and priced at $249.
