Diesel has unveiled its latest premium wearable offering, the Diesel Full Guard 2.5 smartwatch, a massive wearable with a 1.39-inch screen and built-in GPS. The gadget features NFC connectivity, which allows it to support Google Pay, and since it also includes Google Assistant, voice commands are a possibility as well. The Full Guard 2.5 smartwatch also comes with a 3ATM water resistance rating. Other important features of the device include music control and smartphone notifications, as well as a wide variety of applications, courtesy of Google’s Wear OS, formerly known as Android Wear.
There are four different design options that are available for the device, and these differ primarily in terms of case colors and strap materials. Consumers will be able to choose among models with a matte steel case and black leather strap, a gunmetal steel case with brown leather strap, a matte black steel case and black silicone strap, or a gunmetal stainless steel case with a three-link bracelet. Furthermore, the Full Guard 2.5 also comes with a variety of watch faces, which include a neon Flicker dial that changes color depending on the time of the day, and an interactive heart dial that shows a ripple effect once the user touches the display.
The Full Guard 2.5 smartwatch sports a 1.39-inch display with a resolution of 454 by 454 pixels, thus being the largest Wear OS device yet, while Qualcomm’s old Snapdragon Wear 2100 chipset powers the device, like it did many wearables of yesteryear. The wearable includes 4GB of flash storage and 512MB of RAM. A 300mAh battery fuels the device and also features rapid charging. The wearable will ship with Google’s Wear OS pre-installed and support Android smartphones that run Android 4.4 KitKat or newer. The Full Guard 2.5 smartwatch will start being offered by Diesel and its retail partners in October, priced at $325, with that figure being attached to all variants of the gadget.
