Samsung Mobile’s CEO, DJ Koh, said that the Galaxy Note 8’s battery is completely safe, just to reassure consumers all around the world. The Galaxy Note 7, which was announced back in 2016, was a complete failure for Samsung, as it had some serious battery issues, which resulted in ‘exploding’ units, and forced Samsung to finally stop selling the device altogether. Even though the Galaxy Note 8 was released last year with the all-new battery safety check in effect, people still remember the Galaxy Note 7 issues, and just in case some of them are having doubts regarding the Galaxy Note 9, DJ Koh wanted to reassure them there’s nothing to worry about.
Following DJ Koh’s statement, in which he said that he expects the Galaxy Note 9 to outsell its predecessor, Samsung Mobile head went on to explain that Samsung’s engineers are confident of the Galaxy Note 9 battery safety. The Galaxy Note 9, for those of you who are out of the loop, comes with a 4,000mAh battery, which means that it has a larger battery pack than the Galaxy Note 8, which arrived with a 3,300mAh unit on the inside. As you can see, the Galaxy Note 9’s battery is considerably larger, even though the Galaxy Note 9’s display is just a little bit larger than the unit on the Galaxy Note 8. In addition to safety, consumers are hoping that the Galaxy Note 9 will be able to provide great battery life, which is not exactly something that its predecessor was able to do, even though it had an okay battery life, but it was not a road warrior that consumers were expecting, like its predecessors were.
The Galaxy Note 9 was announced last week in New York, and it resembles its predecessor quite a bit, the device is made out of metal and glass, while it sports a dual camera on the back, and a rear-facing fingerprint scanner. The Galaxy Note 9 sports a curved display, really thin bezels, and it does not come with a display notch. Samsung introduced both Exynos 9810 and Snapdragon 845 variants of the phone, while the Galaxy Note 9 sports 6GB / 8GB of RAM on the inside. If you’d like to know more about the device, click here.
