Google One Now Available To Everyone In The US

In a recent blog post, Google announced that new customers in the United States can now choose to upgrade their plans to Google One. The company initially unveiled its revamped cloud storage offering back in May 2018, and a few weeks after it was revealed, customers with paid Google Drive subscriptions were upgraded to Google One. Now, the search giant has started allowing all subscribers in the US to directly choose Google One plans. Moreover, the tech firm stated that it will also roll out Google One in other markets within the next few weeks, although it failed to provide a specific timeline on the expanded availability of its enhanced cloud storage offerings. Google’s support pages state that customers may get the Google One plans either through the service’s website or through the dedicated mobile app, which can be downloaded from the Google Play Store.

One of the key selling points of Google One is the cheaper rates for some of its plans. For example, the search giant reduced the price of the 2TB plan from $19.99 per month to $9.99 monthly, while the 200GB cloud storage plan costs $2.99 per month. On the other hand, consumers will have to pay $1.99 per month for the 100GB plan. This cloud storage allocation can be shared with up to five family members, and account holders can set how much storage will be shared with other users using the Google One application. The app also allows the user to view the amount of storage consumed by the files stored on Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos.

Google One also allows consumers to directly contact the search giant’s live support team either through chat or through calls using the service’s mobile application. The service also offers additional member benefits to its subscribers, including Google Play credits and special hotel discounts. In addition, the search giant mentioned that new benefits from both the Google Store and the Google Express will become available soon. Both the live tech support and member benefits are available not only to the account holders but also to other users who are included in the shared storage plan.
