Google's Datally App Gets Two New Data-Saving Options

Google’s data-saving application, Datally, has received a new update, and as part of it, Google introduced ‘Bedtime mode’ and ‘Emergency bank’ features. For those of you who have never heard of Datally, this app used to be called ‘Triangle’, but Google opted to rebrand it a while back. In any case, Datally is Google’s very own take on a data-saving app, and you may find these newly-introduced features to be quite useful.

These new features are being introduced in Datally v1.6, while Bedtime mode is here to basically help you save data even when you’re asleep, the Emergency bank feature can help you save some data on the side, just in case you run out of data at some point. Now, in order to set up Bedtime mode, you will need to open the app, and tap the ‘Bedtime mode’ option. Once you do that, you will need to set both a start time and end time of this mode, which is basically the time when you go to sleep, and when you wake up. If, for some reason, you wake up in the middle of the night, and need to pause the Bedtime mode, you can do that with ease, either by tapping the Bubble tracker, or if it’s not turned on, you can tap ‘Bedtime mode’ in the app, and simply click ‘Pause’.

Now, as far as the Emergency bank mode is concerned, it basically allows you to set aside some data, so that you don’t get data-hungry and spend everything at once. This option also allows you to set an expiry date, which allows you to match it up with your billing period. These seem to be the only additions to Datally in v1.6, though Google did introduce ‘Guest mode’ and daily data limits features quite recently as well. All in all, Datally is becoming more useful by the day, and if you’re looking for a capable data-saving application, Datally may be the way to go.
