The OnePlus 6T will probably hit the market at the end of this year, and while we’re waiting for rumors and leaks to start popping up, a concept design of OnePlus’ upcoming flagship has just appeared online. This design has been released in form of a video via ‘Science and Knowledge’ YouTube page, and it shows off a rather interesting design of the phone. Before we begin, please do note that this is a third-party concept design, and not a leak of any sort, so the real OnePlus 6T will be different than this, for sure.
As you can see, the device is made out of metal and glass, just like its predecessor, but it sports an even thinner set of bezels, though its top bezel is slightly thicker than its bottom one, and the notch is not present here. The phone’s selfie camera is included on the front side of the device, there are no moving parts here that needs to be triggered in order for you to use the selfie shooter. The phone’s display sports rounded corners, while the power / lock key, and the phone’s alert slider are located on the right. The device’s volume up and volume down buttons can be found on the left, along with a SIM card tray. You will notice that this concept phone does not sport a fingerprint scanner on the back, instead, it’s included under the display, as we’ve already seen on some phones out there. A 3.5mm headphone jack is included on the bottom of the phone, along with the device’s loudspeaker and a Type-C USB port. The back side of the device looks quite similar to the back side of the OnePlus 6, but instead of the fingerprint scanner, a third camera has been included.
The source also envisioned some specs for this concept smartphone. The designer envisioned IP68 certification for this concept handset, and a 6.4-inch QHD+ (3040 x 1440) Optic AMOLED display. On top of that display, Corning’s Gorilla Glasws 6 protection has been envisioned, while Android 9.0 is installed on the device, along with OxygenOS 5.1.8. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core processor fuels the phone, while the device comes in 6GB and 8GB RAM flavors with 64GB, 128GB or 256GB of storage. 8, 16, and 20-megapixel cameras are included on the back of the phone, while a single 16-megapixel camera sits on the phone’s front side.
