OtterBox Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Cases Are Now Available

OtterBox makes some of the most durable protective cases around and the company has now added a new range of series catering directly to Samsung’s new Galaxy Note 9. Those range in ruggedization and style from milder everyday drop defense with aesthetic appeal to designs that can survive nearly anything a smartphone might get put through. What’s more, OtterBox has introduced more color schemes and graphic designs for the latest Samsung phablet than for any prior device from the company. That means that at prices ranging from $50 to approximately $60, those who decide to pick up Samsung’s Galaxy Note 9 can match their personality while still keeping the more than $1,000 investment safe. The company also offers its own ‘Alpha Glass’ screen protectors, priced at $44.95, which are optimally designed for use with each of its cases. Each of the new cases also provides easy access to Samsung’s newly designed S Pen.

While the color options for OtterBox’s latest releases may be a bit wider than normal for a Samsung handset, the company opted to stick with its tried and true overall designs. That all starts with its slim-fitting Symmetry Series, sold at $49.95 aside from one or two exceptions. The most affordable of OtterBox’s offerings is a single piece of synthetic rubber and polycarbonate that slips easily onto and back off of Samsung’s Galaxy Note 9. Symmetry features a front bumper for screen protection and extra buffering for corner drops. Color choices include clear and a glittery clear design called ‘Stardust’ as well as Black, Dark Lake Blue, Ivy Meadow Green, and Tonic Violet Purple. New ‘Love Triangle’ and ‘Gradient Energy’ options are also available at a slightly higher $54.95 but are currently on pre-order. The OtterBox Commuter Series is similarly priced and only slightly more bulky. However, it also offers protective covers for each of the Galaxy Note 9’s ports to keep dirt and other particulates from becoming embedded inside. The Commuter Series can be purchased in either Black or ‘Bespoke Way Blue.’

Finally, the accessory manufacturer’s iconic and heavy-duty Defender Series has been reimagined with the Galaxy Note 9 in mind. First, OtterBox has left the clear plastic screen flap off for the new Samsung flagship phablet in order to accentuate the smartphone’s curved glass display panel. However, it does feature a front lip to prevent screen damage and the above-mentioned screen protectors are compatible with its design. Setting that aside, the Defender Series features a solid hard-shell polycarbonate casing wrapped in a softer TPU slipcover for maximum protection. The included belt clip holster provides yet another layer on top of that, while the belt clip itself easily detaches from the holster for ease-of-use. The design also includes port covers to protect the already IP68-rated phablet from any accidental water or particulate damage. That’s not a bad deal for just $59.95 and buyers can choose from Black, Purple Nebula, or Dark Lake Blue color configurations.
