Pandora Premium Users Can Now Share Tunes On Snapchat

Pandora has announced that its premium subscribers can now share songs, stations, and playlists on Snapchat, as Snapchat cards. That being said, if your friends aren’t Pandora Premium members, but are located in the US (as Pandora on mobile is still limited to US users only, in general), they can listen to half an hour of interrupted songs, but they’ll have to watch a 30-second ad before they get to do so. You can even customize those Snapchat cards before they go out, so that you don’t send only links to Snapchat.

Now, if you’d like to use this new feature, this is how you do it. If you’re listening to a song, playlist or album on Pandora, simply tap ‘Share’ on the ‘Now Playing’ screen. After that, select ‘Snapchat’ from the list, and each song, album and playlist will have a unique card that you can share. At that point, you can add a card to your Story, and share directly with a friend, or Snap to a bunch of friends, it’s up to you. Once your friend sees your card, and gets interesting in the song, playlist or album, he / she can simply swipe up and listen to music on Pandora, as soon as the ad is over, of course. It’s also worth noting that this feature is now available to both Android and iOS users, though, once again, this is a Pandora Premium feature, and it’s rolling out to US users.

It remains to be seen how well will this feature be received by Snapchat users, in other words, how many Snapchat users are actually using Pandora. Pandora seems to be quite popular still, not as popular as some other on-demand music services, but the app does have over 100 million installs on the Play Store, and it has been around for quite some time now.
